The warm glow of a lit candle is enjoyed by most for its comforting intimacy. Fascinated with the atmosphere that a candle light emits, I was curious to see if the same experience could be had with a light bulb. Therefore, in an attempt to capture that essence, I started a series of experiments using the material wax combined with electric lighting.
In the second series I wanted to further develop the idea of combining wax with electrical lighting, but now to include chandeliers. I decided that dipping tied wick would have the best overall effect as a chandelier, and dipping lace in wax would give a lighter version of the ceiling lamp to the moulded one.
